SOMETHING SPECIAL IS HAPPENING!
The 2011 Lutheran Single Association conference will be held at Camp CILCA just north of Springfield, IL June 6-9, 2011. The Theme for the Weekend is "Ships of Life" . The camp ground is owned and operated by the Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The Speaker for the weekend is Rev. Joseph Cunningham.  Pastor Cuningham is a campus pastor who will be the keynote speaker under the theme of Ships of Life.  Pastor Koschman is our devotional leader and Bible study leader.  He has been the spiritual advisor for the Central Illinois District Singles.

The conference will be held in the Christian Growth Center.  This building is air-conditioned and is set up much like a hotel.  There are 14 individual rooms with each one having its own bathroom.  Each room will hold three people.  Everyone will be able to have individual beds.  Bedding and linens are furnished.  There is a big meeting room in the building.

Springfield is well known for its Lincoln sites such as the Lincoln Home, the Lincoln Museum and Library, Lincoln’s Tomb and New Salem State Park in nearby Petersburg, where Lincoln spent many of his formative years.  Several of these sites are within walking distance of each other and may be visited during the conference.  Visits to the Lincoln Museum and the New Salem Park are scheduled during conference time.  While we are at New Salem Village, there will be enough time to have dinner before attending a play.  If you have extra time and would like to stay and extra day or two, the conference committee will provide more information.

Cost is $350. This would be all inclusive. (Includes all meals, speakers fees, entertainment, and transporation. Daily rates are available upon request.

Central Illinois isn’t all corn and beans.  The committee is having a great deal of fun finding interesting items produced right here in Central Illinois.  Come and see what we are all about.
