DESCRIPTIONS:
101, 202: Creation Science: Where do dinosaurs fit in to God's creation? This is one of the several subjects that will be addressed in this Creation Science workshop. The workshop will focus on the biblical and scientific evidence for God's incredible creation. In addition, some false and misleading beliefs of the the theory of evolution will be exposed.
102, 113: Ideas for Singles Events: Get ideas on themes, logo, activities that work for singles events and retreats from the Central Illinois District Singles Committee. The committee has been doing events for 30 years and has lots of experience for participants to tap into.
103, 203: The Successful Single Life. Defining success in terms of the Bible's call to be a gift to others &serving in whatever role we are given followed by vignettes of singles that are successful. Our culture thinks the way to be successful is to marry the spouse of our dreams. This is not God's plan.
104, 111: Finances for Singles – Thrivent Speaker
112, 204: Single Traveler: Tips for traveling solo.
114, 201: Single's Group Training: Specific suggestions & directions on starting a successful singles group in your church or community and resources for single adults.
Open Forums: Saturday Afternoon
Widow/Widowers Open Forum: Discussions concerning sharing of experiences on how to deal with the loss of a spouse.
Never Married Open Forum: Together we will share our experiences through an informal discussion about the challenges &lives of the never married.
Divorced Singles Open Forum: A forum for sharing the challenges of the divorced single life.
The registration for the workshops will be done when you check in at the LSA Check In Table at the Conference.
